Today on Subscribing to Wellness we are joined by Doug Bouton, Co-Founder and CEO of Halo Top International. Halo Top is an ice cream company that is marketed as a lower-calorie, lower-sugar alternative to conventional ice cream. Doug also recently founded Dojo Brands with their first product, Gatsby Chocolate. 

Halo Top Fun Facts:

1) Halo Top almost failed many times and the team was ready to quit just before it took off. 2) They blew up the pipes at the copacker during their trial run and thought that was the end of it. 3) Halo Top only raised $1.5M total from 2 friends and family rounds. 4) Halo Top became the best-selling ice cream in the US, outselling brands like Ben & Jerry's, Haagen-Dazs, and Breyers. 5) Halo Top is sold in more than 30 countries worldwide. 6) Halo Top went from $2M in gross sales to more than $300M in gross sales in a 2-year period from 2015 to 2017
