Amin and his twin brother Amir as co-founders of the company were recently named Forbes 30 Under 30. But their story goes back to high school. Their family has a strong history of diabetes and obesity, and both Amin and Amir were headed down this same path at a young age.
At age 16, Amin weighed 340lbs and realized he wanted to turn his life around. Both he and his twin brother adopted a high protein, low sugar lifestyle and ended up losing over 100 pounds each…
Which is where their passion for health & fitness was born.
A few years later, Amin was attending The University of Texas at Austin and working with the football team. Here he was surrounding with tons of “better for you” cookies, bars, shakes, brownies and more. Amin and his friends would eat these high protein, low sugar snacks all day but almost always found themselves at the local donut shop 3-4 nights a week.
